Pistol/Rifle Hunting
If bow hunting is not what
you prefer, do not worry. We
also offer hunts for hunters
wishing to hunt with rifle
or
handgun. Youth hunts are re
commonly done with rifle and
they are welcome. As a
matter of fact, we encourage
you to bring your family and
hunt with us because we like
to introduce hunting to
youth hunters and we can put
on a great hunting
experience for first time
hunters.
All rifle hunts are fully
guided and 1 on 1. We like
to see at least
a .243 caliber rifle for the
deer size game. Anything
equal to or bigger than a
Red Deer will require a step
up to a .270 caliber.
Typically most hunters use
.270, 7 mm Rem Mag, 30-06 or
the like for our hunts. We
have a place to sight in
your rifle if
needed. Shooting distances
can be expected out to 250
yards. Most of our terrain
is thick mesquite or Post
Oak on creek beds and the
land is generally flat on
our ranches.
Typically rifle hunts last
2-3 days. All of your guide
fee, trophy, and lodging
will be included in one
price to you when you
inquire about our hunts. If
a hunt needs to go over 3
days of hunting we will set
up an extended time
frame hunt package to fit
your requirements. You will
need to inquire for open
hunt dates. Limited hunts
are available to follow
along with our management
criteria. Hunting for most
exotics can be done year

To book a hunt we
require a
30% non-refundable
deposit. If you need to
change your hunt date
and circumstances
permit, we may rebook
your hunt to the next
available hunt date.
In the event that you
draw blood or the guide
observes a hit the
entire trophy fee is
due.
Hunters are responsible
for having a valid Texas
Hunting license.
Non-resident hunting
license for hunting
exotics in Texas is $45.
Each hunter is also
responsible for having
their own firearm or bow
sighted in correctly
before the hunt.
Each hunter must sign a
release of
liability before
beginning any hunt.
